La Perle Gate is a mixed-use development in Jeddah integrating a boutique hotel, serviced residences, workplace, and retail spaces. Designed by CHAP X Differential as a winning consortium entry, the project marks a significant collaboration where Differential led the computational and technical design rationalization.Drawing from Hejazi architectural tradition, the façade is articulated as stepped, shard-like forms reminiscent of coral stone structures found throughout the region.
A central gate defines the composition, framing views towards the Red Sea while creating a new public retail street beneath that enhances pedestrian connectivity and urban permeability. The project combines cultural reference with functional clarity and civic presence, establishing a distinctive landmark within Jeddah's evolving cityscape.

For each massing variant studied, we carriedout a detailed solar performance analysis to evaluate heat load reduction. This comparison highlights how our preferred scheme performs against two typical alternatives, demonstrating the benefits of the top bridge element, which provides significant shading to the plaza and façades.
At the same time, the square tower configuration proves efficient, with only onefaçade directly exposed to the south, further reducing solar gains and improving overallenergy performance.
